Pug Rescue of NW Arkansas Steps Forward in 2012

Liza and Beth are just two of our pugs now in Rescue.  Axel was the last pug to arrive.  After almost being hit by “2” cars,  he jumped into an animal lover's car when they opened the door and they called Pug Rescue of NW Arkansas.  Axel is now happy in his forever home.  Each one of our pugs have their own story – each one wants a forever home.  With this goal in mind, Pug Rescue of NW Arkansas has decided to rearrange some of our officers' duties to better serve pugs and their future forever families.  This variation of duties will probably happen every year or  so – in an effort to better work with volunteers' time available and also to better utilize each of our talents to best serve the pugs in need of forever homes.

Pugfest 2012 date set for October 20th

Save the DATE! October 20, 2012 will be the date for our annual PugFest. It will be held at Murphy Dog Park in Rogers, Arkansas again this year. Plenty of parking and a nice big off-leash area for the pugs and our small doggie pals. We had over 130 dogs last year...let's try to get over 150 this year!

If you know of someone who can donate, or if you can donate, we need items for our awesome goodie bags (150-200) and for our Silent Auction. Also starting to think about another adorable t-shirt design for the event. Vendor booth space will be available as well.

 

Pictures with Santa at Rogers PetSmart Sunday 12/11

Pug Rescue will be taking animal pictures with Santa on Sunday, December 11th, from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm at the Rogers PetSmart.

We have recently had an influx of dogs in need.  Bringing your best friend in for a picture will give you a keepsake and a helping paw for our foster pugs. 

Pugfest - Thank you!

100+ dogs and their humans came out to PugFest 2011 last Saturday. A good time was had by all, meeting other dogs, enjoying the wonderful costumes and competing in contests.

THANK YOU to everyone for coming out to have a good time and supporting our pugs!

Pugfest 2011

Pugfest 2011 will be held on Saturday September 24th from 11am-2pm at Murphy Dog park in Rogers, AR

Pugfest is a fun, off-leash event for Pugs, Small Canine Friends and their Humans

You can meet foster pugs available for adoption with an approved application.

Murphy Dog Park is located at 407 E. Nursery Rd., Rogers, Arkansas.

Foster Families Urgently Needed

A number of pugs currently need foster homes - We have 6 still at the vets and 2 waiting to come into rescue - one is at risk. 

Please pass the word - put it on your Facebook/Twitter/email/etc - we need foster homes. If interested, email pugrescuenwa@yahoo.com, or text 479-871-3444.  You could meet a new best friend!

Meet our Pugs at Pack the Pup Tent Event on May 7th

We’ll be joining in the Pack the Pup Tent event Saturday, May 7th at Kent Dobbs Hyundai in Springdale from 9:00am to 3:00pm.  If you are interested in fostering or adopting a pug, this is a great chance to meet some of the pugs and to ask our volunteers any questions.

Snaggles and other great dogs will be on hand to meet you.

Pug Playday Fundraiser with Deborah Billingsley Photography

This is a great opportunity to get high quality pictures of your furry family members and help Pug Rescue at the same time.

 

Pug Play Day is Coming Soon!

Pug Playday, a simple, fun day for you and your pug and canines of similar size, will be held on April 2 from 12:00-2:00pm.

Pug Playday will be at Dog Party USA in Tontitown, where your pug can run without a leash and hopefully enjoy the sun.  We also have a large enclosed area if the weather is cold or wet.

We will have LOTS of Easter Eggs with treats and prizes.  The pugs just love it - so Bring your pug/pugs and their friends and a basket for your eggs and join us for a day of fun. 

 

Registration will be the day of the event and is only $5 per canine.  This is a fundraiser.  So, come support the pugs in rescue and enjoy a day with your pug.  Who knows - your pug might pick out a new best friend!!!

 

Also, If you would wish to donate new or clean gently used collars, harnesses, and leashes - we would greatly appreciate it.  All donations would be appreciated.
