Jacob Andrew Powers - August 29th, 2011
Jacob crossed the rainbow bridge on August 29th, 2011 at the age of 7 years. He was born on March 17, 2004. Jacob and His sister Lily has been a part of our family since May 6th, 2004. He loved to go camping, or just for a ride. He would go with papa to the bank, almost every week. They always saw him coming and had a treat ready for him. When he was younger, he always knew when mama was bringing home double cheeseburgers from McDonalds. He and Lily would always get to share one. He was always a very loving pug.
We have 6 grandchildren that can be overly attentive to our pugs, and never once did he fuss about the attention they gave him. When we would bring the kids home, he was always right at the door to meet them. He was always my "Foot warmer", He liked to sit on my feet, snuggled up right next to me on the couch, or he would be in Papa's lap. I have so many pictures of him and Lily together. You would of thought they were joined at the hip. Alot of them look like someone posed them, but, they just always liked to sit right beside each other.
He is survived by his papa Larry and his mama Diana. He has one pug sister, Lily, 2 human sisters Keri and Steven, Kira and Brandon, lots of little human neices and nephews , human and animal cousins, and friends that will greatly miss him. He has left a huge hole in our family.
Hercules - Febuary 25, 2010
Hercules, founder of Pug Rescue of N W Arkansas passed over the rainbow bridge today (February 25, 2010) after serving about 13 years in the service of other pugs.
Hercules' life was one of love and sharing. Coming into Sheree's life at an early age of about 2, he loved and supported Sheree and all the pugs (and other animals) who came into her life over the years. Herc always knew he was special - he knew his mission and fulfilled it without selfishness. He knew his place on earth was in the arms of Sheree.
As age took it's toll on Herc - poor eye sight and poor hearing did not ever rob Herc or the knowledge of when the word "Treats" was spoken which he could hear from great distances.
Hercules is survived by his loving puglover momma, Sheree and hundreds of human friends as he knew no stranger. He is also survived by the 100s of pugs which are no longer in shelters, puppymills, on the street, or alone without hope - due to Herc - they are in the arms of their puglover mommas, enjoying warm beds, snuggling arms, and full plates. So one little black pug - changed the world of so many pugs and humans by just being Hercules.
